Just inherited my dad's old Discovery, where do I even start with it?

My father passed his 2014 Discovery 4 down to me last month since he's not driving anymore, and while it's got sentimental value I'll be honest, it's been neglected for the last couple of years. He barely drove it and the servicing slipped, so I'm dealing with a car that's only got 60k on the clock but feels like it needs everything at once. There's a whine from somewhere underneath, the AC is weak, and the brakes feel wooden, probably because it's been sitting so much. I don't want to just throw it at a general garage who'll see an old Land Rover and either overcharge me or miss things. A colleague told me to check out a Land Rover specialist in the area since they apparently know these vehicles properly, which seems like a sensible starting point for getting a full assessment. What I want to know is how I should approach this. Do I ask for a comprehensive inspection first and then prioritise the work, or just fix things as they come up? And has anyone revived a long sitting Land Rover before, was there anything you wish you'd checked earlier?
